We have been working a lot lately on getting our backyard ready for spring and summer. Last year after we first moved into our house, we focused primarily on setting up the inside. Then baby Kit was born shortly after, so we were in the newborn haze all spring and didn’t really have a chance to get things set up outside the way we want them!
So, this year we are very enthusiastic about doing all the garden and yard projects! We are having the house painted house white (currently a dark blue/gray color) which I’m very excited about. Overall I’m just looking forward to making the exterior of our home feel like “ours,” with personal touches.
One of the things we love most about our house is the very private and secluded backyard. The kids are at the perfect age this year to really enjoy it! I was so thrilled to be able to work with Teamson again to share with you some amazing outdoor toys that we’ve brought into our backyard. The kids are in love with Teamson’s sandbox. It has a rotatable canopy cover for shade, which also can be lowered and used as a cover when it is not in use – really convenient and keeps critters out. In all honesty, the both of them will sit and play in it for hours. It is the cutest thing! I ordered three bags of this premium play sand from Amazon, which was plenty to fill the box. Peter immediately brought his trucks out to use in the sand, and they’ve also been enjoying Teamson’s wooden tool box set that comes with adorable wooden tools, nuts and bolts for imaginative play.
We also adore the child size wooden outdoor picnic table. It’s the perfect “kid’s table” for all the outdoor dinner parties we can’t wait to host! So cute and fun for them to have something in their own size.
