2021 Children’s Gift Guides

This is my first year doing gift guides, and I am so excited to share them with you! I put a lot of thought into how I should structure these to make them as helpful as possible. While they definitely lean on the “luxury” / “big ticket gift” side, I made sure to include some smaller/more affordable options as well!

Starting with gifts for little ones (or their chic moms!), I’m listing out my picks below (starting from top left, as pictured in the collages).

Baby Girl Luxury Gift Guide

1. DREAM QUILT – as you probably know, I am in love with Projektityyny’s quilts. I have one and it is the crown jewel of our nursery, but we also use it in the park all the time. They are truly works of art, made of Liberty London fabrics. Definitely keepsake items and make the perfect backdrop for monthly milestone baby photos. They recently introduced the smaller baby size which is much more affordable as well!

2. DE BUCI BABY CLASSIC TEDDY BEAR – the most classic and sweet bear you could find, we have the blue and white toile for Peter, and pale green for Kit! One of the first things I bought for his nursery before he was born. You can have them embroidered with initials for a custom touch.

3. CUDDLE + KIND BUNNIES – the sweetest knit stuffed animals!

4. PERFECT PRAM SHOES – I’m a sucker for a baby pram shoe with a bow, and these tan leather ones are so versatile! Perfect for baby girl.

5. NATURAL WOOD VICTORIAN DOLLHOUSE – Possibly my favorite thing in our nursery — I love every detail of this dollhouse. The natural wood gives it a more modern look, but I also love the idea of painting it wit Kit one day. Love this little furniture set to complete the inside.

6. MILTON & GOOSE KITCHEN SET – Ok, I realize the price point on this is a little outrageous. I purchased it when furnishing our nursery and thought of it as a piece of furniture. The quality and design is unsurpassed when it comes to any play kitchen out there. It’s built to last and is truly beautiful. We love ours. That said, here is a slightly more affordable option that is also very chic.

7. RALPH LAUREN CASHMERE CABLEKNIT COVERALL – Truly my number one baby outfit. I have it in three colors for my babies. There’s just nothing cuter or more elegant.

8. MONCLER SNOW SUIT – Dream baby item. No explanation needed.

9. BONPOINT FAIR ISLE SWEATER – Baby winter couture perfection.

10. LA COQUETA PERFECT FLORAL BLOUSE – To go under every sweater and cardigan!

Baby Boy Luxury Gift Guide

1. CASHMERE CABLEKNIT BLANKET – I used this for each of my babies every single day while they were newborns. They are stretchy enough to swaddle, and beyond gorgeous. If I only had one blanket for my babies, it would be this one. And such a beautiful gift to receive. I truly cherish mine.

2. DE BUCI BABY BLUE TOILE BLANKET – This was the inspiration for Peter’s entire nursery! The perfect touch for a blue boy’s room.

3. MINI BLUE SUEDE TODS – I die. I bought a pair for Peter before he was born and just continued to display them in his room because they’re such little treasures.

4. GINGHAM SLEEP SACK – Boys’ clothing and items come in far fewer pattern options, but the baby blue gingham always hits just right. I love this perfect sleep sack – so chic.

5. CLASSIC RIDE-ON CAR – We got Peter one of these for his first birthday, and it was a huge hit! Another gorgeous nursery decor item, while still bringing hours of entertainment and fun for your little one!

6. MILTON & GOOSE KITCHEN SET – Here it is again in blue because I just love it that much. As I said above, I realize the price point on this is a little outrageous. I purchased it when furnishing our nursery and thought of it as a piece of furniture. The quality and design is unsurpassed when it comes to any play kitchen out there. It’s built to last and is truly beautiful. We love ours. That said, here is a slightly more affordable option that is also very chic.

7. LA COQUETA GREEN SWEATER SET – One of my favorite things Peter ever wore as a baby.

8. RALPH LAUREN CASHMERE CABLEKNIT COVERALL – Truly my number one baby outfit. I have it in three colors for my babies. There’s just nothing cuter or more elegant.

9. LA COQUETA BLUE STRIPE SWEATER SET – I wish they had this one when Peter was a baby — just perfect!

10. CHIC WOODEN TRAIN SET – Great (more affordable) gift option that is beautiful and fun.

More Baby & Child Ideas

1. ADORABLE ICE CREAM TOY – too cute and perfect to display on nursery shelves!

2. MINTED LETTERPRESS CUSTOM SILHOUETTE – I ordered these for Peter and Kit and am so excited for them to arrive! Minted lets you upload a photo of your child, and an artist custom creates their silhouette portrait. You get to approve the portrait before accepting and can request edits, then you choose your color, and it is letterpressed and framed in a frame of your choice! The process if very quick so it can be done before the holidays. Such a special, bespoke gift idea. Use code SAMCM25 for 25% off your order with Minted!

3. TRAINING BIKE – We got one like this for Peter last year and he was so thrilled!

4. HAND KNITTED BABY GYM TOYS – We got these for Kit and she has loved them every day for the past seven months! They’re so cute (much more attractive than any others I could find).

5. SCALLOPED TOY STORAGE BASKETS – A forever favorite.

6. GROCERY STORE SETUP – Such a fun play set, and I love these fruits and vegetables to fill up the boxes!

7. PURBEBE BATH SALTS – A recent discovery I am loving for the kids’ bath before bedtime. They make all-natural bath soaks and bedtime massage oil to help get your little ones ready for turn down. They smell amazing and I love the concept.
